Stainless steel grating has the advantages of environmental protection, paint-free, corrosion resistance, etc., giving people a good impression of "rust-free, clean, and high-quality texture". The metal texture of stainless steel conforms to modern aesthetics and has been widely used in many steel grating projects at home and abroad. However, after the processes of cutting, assembling, welding, etc. in the manufacturing process of steel grating, stainless steel grating is prone to corrosion, and the phenomenon of "rust of stainless steel" occurs. This article summarizes the control points and solution measures that should be paid attention to in each link of stainless steel grating, and provides a reference for avoiding or reducing the corrosion and rust of stainless steel grating.
Anti-corrosion improvement measures
According to the causes of corrosion of stainless steel grating, corresponding improvement measures are proposed for each link of the manufacturing process of stainless steel grating to reduce or avoid the occurrence of stainless steel corrosion.
3.1 Corrosion caused by improper storage, transportation and lifting
For corrosion caused by improper storage, the following anti-corrosion measures can be adopted: storage should be relatively isolated from other material storage areas; effective protective measures should be taken to keep the surface of stainless steel clean to avoid dust, oil, rust, etc. from polluting stainless steel and causing chemical corrosion.
For corrosion caused by improper transportation, the following anti-corrosion measures can be adopted: special storage racks should be used during transportation, such as wooden racks, carbon steel racks with painted surfaces, or rubber pads; transportation tools (such as trolleys, battery cars, etc.) should be used during transportation, and clean and effective isolation measures should be taken. Protective measures: Dragging is strictly prohibited to avoid bumps and scratches.
For corrosion caused by improper lifting, the following measures can be adopted: Stainless steel plates should be lifted with vacuum suction cups and special lifting tools, such as lifting belts, special chucks, etc. Avoid using metal lifting tools and chucks; It is strictly prohibited to use wire ropes to avoid scratching the stainless steel surface; Handle with care to avoid scratches caused by impact and bumps.
3.2 Rust caused by improper tool selection and process execution during production
For corrosion caused by incomplete passivation process execution, the following anti-corrosion measures can be taken: During passivation cleaning, Use pH test paper to test the passivation residue; electrochemical passivation treatment is preferred.
The above measures can avoid the residue of acidic substances and the occurrence of chemical corrosion.
For corrosion caused by improper grinding of welds and oxidation colors, the following anti-corrosion measures can be taken: ① Before welding the weld, use anti-splash liquid to reduce the adhesion of welding spatter; ② Use a stainless steel flat shovel to remove welding spatter and slag; ③ Avoid scratching the stainless steel base material during operation and keep the base material clean; keep the appearance clean after grinding and cleaning the oxidation color leaking from the back of the weld or perform electrochemical passivation treatment.
