The main advantages of hot-dip galvanized highway guardrail products are:
1. The hot-dip galvanized coating is metallurgically bonded to the guardrail mesh, and has poor adhesion with the guardrail column base. The coating exceeds 80um. When the guardrail mesh is struck, the coating will easily peel off, and the zinc infiltration will occur. The zinc-iron alloy layer formed by the process is a diffusion-type metallurgical bond, and the infiltration layer can reach more than 100um. The surface layer has high hardness and strong adhesion, and the infiltration layer will not peel off even if it is hit during transportation.
2. The zinc vapor released during the hot-dip galvanizing process of the sports fence pollutes the atmosphere, and the high-temperature zinc liquid splashed out by "shooting off" threatens personal safety. However, vacuum zinc infiltration is completed in a closed container, which completely eliminates the impact of zinc vapor on the atmosphere. The pollution has completely ended the history of zinc vapor poisoning and high-temperature zinc liquid burns for operators.
3. Compared with hot-dip galvanizing, there is an additional gap before hot-dip galvanizing for the guardrail mesh, and the thickness of the coating is difficult to control. Whether it is "over the standard" (the coating is too thick) or "out of the standard", it is easy to reduce the tension. In the role of fasteners, the problem of tolerance fit has never been solved; with vacuum zinc infiltration, the zinc infiltration thickness can be controlled in the range of 15 to 100um, and the thickness of the zinc layer does not require additional gaps between 30 to 50um, completely solving the fastener tolerance. Fitting issues improve the tightening effect.
