Key technology of steel grating welding process:
1. At each intersection point between the load flat steel and the cross bar, it should be fixed by welding, riveting or pressure locking.
2. For welding steel gratings, pressure resistance welding is preferred, and arc welding can also be used.
3. For the pressure locking of the steel grating, a press can be used to press the cross bar into the load-bearing flat steel to fix it.
4. Steel gratings should be processed into shapes of various sizes according to user needs.
5. The distance between the load-bearing flat steel and the distance between the crossbars can be determined by the supply and demand parties based on the design requirements. For industrial platforms, it is recommended that the distance between load-bearing flat bars should not be greater than 40mm, and the distance between crossbars should not be greater than 165mm.
At the end of the load-bearing flat steel, flat steel of the same standard as the load-bearing flat steel should be used for edging. In special applications, section steel can be used or the edges can be directly wrapped with edge plates, but the cross-sectional area of the edge plates must not be less than the cross-sectional area of the load-bearing flat steel.
For hemming, single-sided fillet welding with a welding height of not less than the thickness of the load-bearing flat steel shall be used, and the weld length shall not be less than 4 times the thickness of the load-bearing flat steel. When the edge plate does not accept load, it is allowed to weld four load-bearing flat steels at intervals, but the distance shall not exceed 180mm. When the edge plate is under load, interval welding is not allowed and full welding is necessary. The end plates of the stair treads must be fully welded on one side. The edge plate in the same direction as the load-bearing flat steel must be welded to each cross bar. Cuttings and openings in steel gratings equal to or larger than 180mm shall be edged. If the stair treads have front edge guards, they must run through the entire tread.
The load-bearing flat steel of the steel grating can be flat flat steel, I-shaped flat steel or longitudinal shear strip steel.
